Your Next Chapter Podcast Episode 33: Suzanne Scarrow – Returning to your Dreams

Suzanne always knew she wanted to be a counsellor, to help people, but when she shared that desire with someone important as a little girl, the negative reaction she was met with led her to bury that desire.

It wasn’t until her late 30’s after a divorce that Suzanne reconnected with that buried dream and returned to University to study psychology.

“It really wasn’t easy, with 3 kids and aging parents it was a struggle. But I simply focused on each small step and I knew from the underlying feeling that this was right for me. I was in alignment I was in flow”.

After graduating and in private practice Suzanne continued to rely on my her intuition to follow her new direction and when she discovered the work of Gary Craig, who is considered the founder of the Emotional Freedom Technique, EFT or as it is commonly known, Tapping, she was excited by what this could mean for her clients and studied to become a practitioner.

“I believe all of our negative emotions are caused by a disruption in the body energy systems, our energy fields. When you tap on the energy meridians, whilst exploring and resolving the beliefs associated with those blocks, the blocks clear and the emotion goes. It’s so powerful – before I discovered EFT it’s as though I had all the pieces for the jigsaw, but they just weren’t falling into place. Now they have and that has also been greatly assisted by my study and understanding of the Law of Attraction. Together these two tools have such power for you to change your life”.

Suzanne knows without doubt that you are the creator of your experience. That it is in your control.   • Some of the most common blocks that we experience are I’m not good enough, I’m not loveable, I’m not worthy, I can’t succeed and the world is not a safe place
  • The key to emotional freedom is to go back and discover and clear where you as a child learned this
  • These beliefs are not the truth, but they become your truth because of the stage of development you were at when you heard and internalised them, either directly or indirectly
  • The negative or unsettling emotional pain associated with these beliefs becomes trapped in your body and that’s why they often return when different circumstances trigger them
  • EFT can be considered “emotional acupuncture” but without the needles, which is a good thing!
  • You deserve to be happy and deliberately and consistently shifting your focus to what feels good to you is vital for growth – what you focus on grows
